Connecticut is a state in the United States' southern New England region with a mix of coastal cities and rural areas dotted with small towns. Mystic is well-known for its Seaport museum, which houses centuries-old ships, as well as the beluga whale exhibits at Mystic Aquarium. New Haven, on Long Island Sound, is known for Yale University and its renowned Peabody Museum of Natural History.
