Quarantine Care

When dogs arrive in New Hampshire, state law requires a 48‑hour quarantine. We need volunteers to help care for the dogs during this period—typically just a few hours over a couple of days.

You’ll help with:

  • Feeding

  • Basic care

  • Playtime and socialization

Please note:

  • Children under 13 are not permitted in the quarantine area

  • Volunteers ages 13–17 must be accompanied by an adult

Transportation

Our dogs fly from Puerto Rico to Logan International Airport in Boston, MA, and we rely on volunteers to bring them safely to New Hampshire.

You can help by:

  • Picking up newly arrived dogs at Logan Airport

  • Transporting them to our rescue location in NH

We provide rescue vehicles, but if you prefer to use your own truck or van, we will reimburse gas and toll expenses.

Fostering

Fostering is one of the most rewarding ways to help a Sato. By opening your home, you give a dog a calm, loving place to settle and prepare for adoption.

Foster families provide day‑to‑day care, share updated photos, and help us learn each dog’s personality so we can find the perfect match. Most dogs are in foster care only a few weeks, and seeing them join a happy family is the greatest reward.

We provide everything you need—food, supplies, toys, and medical care. All you provide is a safe space and an open heart.
